Marcelo Pennell has been recording and mixing music for more than 20 years.
The projects he has engineered range from hip-hop to R&B, pop, rock, gospel, acapella, and jazz. Artists he has had the opportunity to work with include: TobyMac, Rebecca St. James, Stacie
Oricco, Kiki Sheard, Brian Littrell, Big Phat Band, Smokie Norful, CeCe Winans, Tasha Cobbs, Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder, Take 6, and Straight No Chaser.
The songs Marcelo mixed for Straight No Chaser included guest performances by Paul McCartney, Colbie Caillat, CeeLo Green, Otis Redding, and Seal. Working with Take 6, he has mixed songs
featuring Stevie Wonder, George Benson, Al Jarreau ,and Aaron Neville. With Tasha Cobbs, he mixed the single featuring Nicki Minaj.
Marcelo works with independent artists as well as major labels and also mixes audio for video projects and sound design for video games.
Multiple projects that he has worked on have been nominated for and won Dove, Juno, Stellar, Telly and Grammy Awards. In 2006, Marcelo was personally nominated in the "Best Engineered Album-Non-Classical" category for a Grammy Award.
